The owner of a 2007 Honda Odyssey double parked his vehicle on the street by his house while he was bringing packages into his house. Unfortunately he left his keys in the ignition with the motor running. This was in the Ridgewood section of Queens, confines of the 104 precinct. When he came out he  found his Honda missing. Apparently some miscreant jumped in and took off with it. He immediately called the police of the 104 precinct. When the police arrived they verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into state and federal crime computors which automatically activated the LoJack System concealed in the Honda.

Within a short while officers from Washington Heights secton of Manhattan, confines of the 34 precinct picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, they tracked the signal to a residential section of the precinct. There they found the vehicle unoccupied. They placed the vehicle under observation, when no one returned for the vehicle, they recovered the stolen Honda.

The vehicle was recovered with no damage, the owner was notified, and he was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly.

The LoJack unit was installed at Hillside  Honda Jamacia Queens NY on September 25, 2010.

The value of the vehicle was approximately $7000.00.
