The owner of a 2018 Takeuchi Skid Steer contacted the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in Blountstown, Florida to report that their skid steer had been stolen.  The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the skid steer.

A short while later deputies from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Takeuchi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from their PTCs, the deputies tracked the vehicle to a field in “The Acreage” in western rural Palm Beach County.  The skid steer was recovered and returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Takeuchi skid steer in July 2018 at commercial sales in Anderson, Georgia.
