The owners of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep Wrangler. Minutes later an officer from Alhambra Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jeep Wrangler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle from the 10 Freeway and New Ave to the 900 block of Hellman city of Monterey Park where they located the vehicle parked in a drive way containing a male adult suspect.  The officer deployed on the vehicle taking the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect was later booked for the theft of the Jeep Wrangler.

The vehicle was stored and later released to the victim.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep Wrangler at Huntington Beach Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep in November 2012.
