The owners of a 2014 Ford Flex contacted the Henderson Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from in front of their residence in Henderson, Nevada.  The owners had parked the Ford and locked it leaving both key fobs in the Ford and relying on the keypad on the driver’s door to open the car.  The owners went into their residence for the night and when they returned in the morning they found the Ford missing so they called the police.

Henderson Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later a vehicle equipped with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the driver of the PTC equipped vehicle tracked the Ford to the intersection Cozy Hill and Hidden Acres where it was located abandoned but undamaged.  The Henderson Police were notified about the Fords location and they responded and recovered the Ford.  The Ford was then returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Flex in August 2016 at Friendly Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
