The owner of a 2014 Infiniti Q50 contacted the Irvington Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of his apartment complex in Irvington. The Irvington Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2014 Infiniti Q50.

A short while later, officers from the Newark Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Central Ave. in the City of Newark, where the vehicle was located parked in the street. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Infiniti Q50 in June 2017 at Nissan of Queens, in N.Y.
