The owners of a 2018 Ford Flat Bed contacted the Palmer Township Police Department to report that one of their rental trucks was missing from their store in Palmer, Pennsylvania.  The Palmer Township Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Ford Flat Bed.

A short while later officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an abandoned lot on McCarter Highway in the City of Newark.  The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Ford Flat Bed in June 2018 at Auto Truck Group.
