United BMW of Roswell reported to Alpharetta Police that one of their vehicles had been purchased by means of fraud in September 2018. The suspects had used the identity of an individual living in Texas. Alpharetta Police verified the theft and fraud and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the two stolen BMW’s.

A short while later an Officer from East Point Police picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. That Officer was able to locate the stolen vehicle parked behind a residence in the City of East Point. The vehicle had been abandoned according to the resident by unknown persons. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the dealership.

The LoJack Unit was installed at United BMW of Roswell in August 2018.
