The owners of a 2018 Ford Expedition contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of their dealership located in the 600 block of Decatur.  The Ford was found to be missing during inventory.  The Ford had a lock box on the window containing the keys.  When the Ford was found to be nowhere on the lot the owners notified police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Seven minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an address in the 700 block of Builtmore.  The Ford was unoccupied when it was found so the Ford was recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Expedition in June 2018 at Friendly Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
