The owners of a 2005 Hummer H2 contacted the West Valley City Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their residence in the City of West Valley, Utah.  The owners had left the Hummer parked and unsecured with the keys inside.  When the owners returned to the Hummer they found it missing so they notified the police.   West Valley City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hummer.

A short while later officers from Unified Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hummer with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the edge of their jurisdiction and at the boarder of Murray City where they notified the Murray Police Department of the Hummer in their jurisdiction.  Murray Police officers then picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hummer and were able to follow it to the 2200 block of Murray Holiday Road where they located it in a stall at a self-serve carwash.  The Hummer was unoccupied when it was located but was unharmed.  The hummer was then recovered and returned back to the happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hummer H2 in September 2007 at Luxury Motors Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada.
