The owners of a 1997 Honda Accord contacted the Oxnard Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short while later Detectives from Oxnard Police Department were on a follow up investigation when they picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda Accord with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Detectives tracked the vehicle to 400 Block S “G” street and locate the vehicle parked and unoccupied in a driveway. The Detectives set up surveillance and within a short time, observed two males exit the location and enter the vehicle. The Detectives deployed on the location taking two suspects into custody. Their investigation resulted in arresting the driver for the theft of the Honda including the arrest of the passenger who was wanted for a theft of a 2007 Toyota Tundra, (not LoJack equipped).

The stolen Honda was returned undamaged to owner.
