The owners of a GMC Envoy contacted the Englewood PD to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC.

Short while later officers with the Denver PD picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen GMC.  This vehicle had been involved in several reckless driving traffic collisions in Denver.  Denver PD officers tracked it to I-70 and Federal Boulevard where it was recovered unoccupied and damaged.

Traffic investigators are conducting the follow up investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the GMC Envoy in March of 2005 at the request of a previous owner.
