The owners of a 2003 Dodge Ram contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of their dealership in the 3200 block of North Las Vegas Blvd. The owners found the Dodge missing from the parking lot and checked video footage on their security cameras. Five suspects were seen on camera getting into the Dodge and driving it through the fence so they notified police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Eight minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residential address in the 2200 block of Regal Vista where they found the Dodge unoccupied. The Dodge was then recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Ram in September of 2003 at Desert Dodge, Las Vegas, Nevada.
