The owner of a 2016 Toyota Tundra pickup truck contacted the New York City Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen during the night from the driveway of her home in New York City. The New York City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2016 Toyota Tundra.

A short while later Detectives from the Lehigh County Police Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Detectives tracked the vehicle to a parking lot on East Woodlawn Ave in the City of Allentown. The vehicle was located parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Toyota Tundra pickup truck in November of 2015, at Queensboro Toyota, in N.Y.
