The owners of a 2011 Chevrolet Impala contacted the Henderson Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their residence. The owners had left the Chevrolet parked in front of the residence and had left a set of keys inside of the vehicle. When they returned to use the Chevrolet they found it missing so they notified police. Henderson Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Five minutes later a vehicle equipped with a LoJack tracker picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet and followed the signal to a weekly rental apartment complex at the intersection of Russell and Boulder Highway. A male got into the Chevrolet and drove North on the Highway towards Las Vegas. Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded and attempted to stop the vehicle which failed to stop and drove off at a high rate of speed at which time officers broke off the chase. Officers from Henderson Police Department then picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet as it made its way back to Henderson. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a fast food restaurant near the intersection of Lake Mead and Boulder Highway where they observed the driver and another male exit the vehicle and go inside the restaurant. Officers then made contact with the males and placed them into custody for having the stolen Chevrolet. Both males were arrested and taken to jail. The Chevrolet was recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Impala in December of 2014 at Sierra Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Monrovia, California.
