LoJack System Helps Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Recover Stolen Scion xB within Minutes of Activation.

The owners of a 2006 Scion xB contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of their business in the 1200 block of Decatur. The owners had parked the Scion and had left it unlocked with the keys in the glovebox. When they returned they found it missing so they notified police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion.
Twenty three minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a casino in the 2400 block of Sahara where they found it unoccupied. The Scion was recovered intact and released back to the owners.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Scion xB in November of 2005 at Centennial Toyota, Las Vegas, Nevada.
