The owner of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report their vehicle had been stolen.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Silverado.

Officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Silverado with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the LoJack signal to the area of Bell and Grove.

Officers located the Silverado parked in the back lot of a duplex residence.  The Silverado was unoccupied and subsequently recovered.  The owner was notified of the recovery and will be reunited with their vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado in January 2017 at Henry Valencia Chevrolet Buick GMC in Espanola, New Mexico.
