LoJack System Helps New Jersey State Police Recover a Stolen 2018 Audi Q5 One in Custody

The owners of a 2018 Audi Q5 called the Moorestown Police Department to report that during the night his vehicle was stolen from the driveway of his home in Moorestown. The keys were in the vehicle when it was stolen. The Moorestown Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Audi Q5.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the vehicle to a Donut Shop in the City of Newark. The detectives set up surveillance on the vehicle and a suspect was taken into custody when he entered the vehicle.  The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Audi Q5 in June of 20017, at Audi of Turnersville, in N.J.
