LoJack System Helps New York Police Department recover a 2017 Nissan Altima

The owner of a 2017 Nissan Altima parked his vehicle by his house, when he came out for it the next morning he found it missing, this was in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn confines of the 68 precinct. He immediately called the Police of the 68 precinct. Polive arrived on the scene verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from Staten Island Auto Crime Unit  in the Coney Island section of  Brooklyn picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers,  tracked the vehicle to a residential street where they observed the stolen Nissan parked and unoccupied. They staked the vehicle out for a short while, however when no one came for it they recovered the stolen Nissan.

The vehicle was recovered with no damage, the owner was notified, and he was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly.

The LoJack unit was installed at Nissan of Queens, Ozone Park NY on Aug.15,2017.

The value of the vehicle was approximately $27,000.00
