A car dealership contacted the Redding Police Department to report that one of their vehicles had been stolen.  The vehicle, a 2015 Subaru WRX, was discovered missing from their lot and had last been seen two days prior. The Redding Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2015 Subaru WRX.
A short time after the LoJack activation, a Redding PD officer was alerted to the stolen Subaru by means of the silent LoJack signal from the stolen vehicle with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the stolen Subaru was tracked and was found parked, unoccupied on Oasis Road near Gold Hills Drive.

The stolen Subaru WRX was recovered by the Redding Police Department and a representative from the car dealership responded to pick up their vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Subaru WRX in August of 2018, at Crown Motors, in Redding, CA.
