LoJack System Helps Baltimore City Police Department Recover Stolen Nissan Rogue

The owner of a 2017 Nissan Rogue contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 3000 Westwood Avenue in Baltimore City, Maryland. Baltimore City Police Radio dispatched an officer from the 8th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the subject vehicle. When the officer was unable to locate the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Nissan Rogue.

A short while later, officers from Baltimore City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2017 Nissan Rogue with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 2700 block Wilkins Avenue in the Mill Hill area of Baltimore City, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. The undamaged vehicle was recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Nissan Rogue in September, 2016 at Nationwide Nissan in Timonium, Maryland.
