The owners of a 2017 Ford F250 called Gwinnett County Police to report that their vehicle had been rented in August 2018 for a couple of days and never returned. Gwinnett County Police verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Ford F250 Pickup.

Within Minutes of the entry units from Lawrenceville Police  picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from their PTC, the Officers tracked the vehicle to a residence in their city. After on scene investigation they arrested a suspect who stated that she had rented the vehicle in August and kept it. From the time the vehicle was entered as Stolen to the time vehicle was located was less than 30 minutes.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford in July 2017 at the business that owned the vehicle in Atlanta, Ga.
