The owners of a 2015 GMC Sierra called Clayton County Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen on 11/29/2018. Clayton County Police verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2015 GMC Pickup.

Within Minutes of the entry units from the Atlanta Police Zone 3 Crime Suppression Team picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen GMC with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from their PTC, the Officers tracked the vehicle and saw it being operated by two individuals. As soon as the vehicle pulled into a parking lot the Officers surrounded the GMC Truck and took both suspects into custody. From the time the vehicle was entered as stolen to the time both suspects were in custody was 16 minutes.

Investigation on scene led to both suspects being arrested on charges and the vehicle being recovered without any damage and returned to the owners. This is a great example of how team work between LoJack and Police have led to the many recoveries that we have been able to make with the LoJack system.

The LoJack® System was installed in the GMC at Hennessy Buick/ GMC in November 2014, in Morrow Ga.
