The owners of a 2016 Land Rover RRV reported the theft of their vehicle to Atlanta Police on the evening of November 7th, 2018. They were getting gas when the vehicle was stolen from a local gas station.  Atlanta Police verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the Silent LoJack® System concealed in the stolen Land Rover.

Officers from the Atlanta Police began receiving the silent signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. They followed the directional and audible cues from their PTC’s to the Southwest area of Atlanta. The Officers located the vehicle parked in a wooded area unattended. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owners.

On November 19th, the victim again reported that their vehicle had been stolen while they were shopping at a local grocery store. This theft was reported to City of South Fulton Police. The theft was again verified as stolen and the vehicle entered into the state and federal crime computers. This activated the silent LoJack Tracker installed in the vehicle for a second time.

Officers from the East Point Police began receiving the silent signal from the LoJack Tracker and began tracking the vehicle. They located the vehicle abandoned in an apartment complex located within their city. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Land Rover in August 2016 at Hennessey Land Rover Gwinnett Duluth, Ga.
