The owners of a 2016 Scion TC contacted the Glendale PD to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion.

Later in the day a Deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and a Corporal with the Colorado State Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.

Following the directional and audible cues from their PTCs, the stolen vehicle was found in the rear parking lot of a large shopping mall near 6th Avenue and Indiana Street.  It was unoccupied and locked.  It appeared undamaged.

The vehicle was secured for evidence collection and returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Scion TC in September 2015 in Florida.
