The owner of a 2018 Dodge Journey contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.  The theft occurred from a residential neighborhood in the area of Juan Tabo and Indian School.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Journey.

Approximately 5 minutes after the activation, officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft.  The officer was patrolling the area when he picked up the LoJack signal.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the LoJack signal to the area of Lomas and Tomasita.  The Dodge was found to be parked and unoccupied in a residential neighborhood.  The Dodge was recovered and will be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Journey in October 2017 at Brad Francis Dodge in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
