The owners of a 2017 Ford Escape contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of their residence in the 3500 block of Arville.  The owners had started the Ford and left it running in the driveway while they went into their residence.  When they returned they found the Ford missing so they notified police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later troopers from Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of an apartment building in the 3800 block of Valley View.  The stolen vehicle was found parked and unoccupied. The Ford was recovered by Nevada Highway Patrol and towed for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Escape in September of 2016 at Friendly Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
