The owners of a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of Eastern.  The owners had parked the Chrysler and left it in the parking lot unlocked with the keys in it.  When they returned they found it missing so they notified police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

9 minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as well as officers from the North Las Vegas and Henderson  Police Departments and troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers and troopers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a hotel/casino in the 3600 block of Paradise where they were able to locate the Chrysler unoccupied but undamaged.  The officers then recovered the Chrysler and returned it to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler Town and Country in May of 2003 at San Diego County Credit Union, San Diego, California.
