The owners of a 2010 Toyota Camry contacted the Hemet Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen in the city of Hemet. Hemet Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within a short time, officers from Hemet Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of State Street and Johnston Avenue in the city of Hemet. Hemet Police recovered the stolen Toyota and contacted the owners. Police investigation continues.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in August 2009 at Moss Brothers Toyota/Scion, Moreno Valley, California.
