The owners of a 2009 Infiniti FX35 contacted the Glenwood Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of their residence in the 1000 block of 193rd Place in Glenwood. Glenwood Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti FX35.

A short while later troopers from the Illinois State Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the vehicle to the Rosebud trailer park homes on the 8300 block of S Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview. The Infiniti was recovered undamaged with the license plates removed. The Infiniti FX35 was recovered parked next to a trailer home locked and unoccupied. Bridgeview police recovered the stolen vehicle and attempted to contact the trailer home residents. No one answered police summons at the trailer home and the car was towed to police impound by Bridgeview police. Police investigation into this vehicles recovery continues.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti FX35 in Jun of 2009 at Miller Infiniti, Van Nuys, California.
