The owners of a 2006 Hummer H2 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of their residence in the 2000 block of Lisa.  The owners had parked the Hummer for the night and left it unlocked with the keys in the console.  In the morning they found it missing so they notified the police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hummer.

A short while later officers from North Las Vegas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hummer with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Pirates Cove where they located the Hummer abandoned but undamaged.  The officers recovered the Hummer and returned it to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hummer H2 in September of 2005 at Marvin K. Brown Auto Center, San Diego, California.
