The owners of a 2018 Nissan Maxima called the Irvington Police Department to report that someone stolen his vehicle from the parking lot of the apartment complex where he lives in Irvington.

The Irvington Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Nissan Maxima.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Nissan, with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the vehicle to a warehouse on Spring Street in the City of Newark. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Nissan Maxima in May of 2018 at Route 1 Nissan in Avenel, N.J.
