The owners of a 2018 Ford Transit Van called the Union Township Police Department to report that one of their rental vehicles was missing from their inventory. The Irvington Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Ford Transit Van.

A short while later, officers from the Livingston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal that was coming from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.   Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Old Short Hills Road in West Orange. The vehicle was recovered in a parking lot, abandoned and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Ford Transit Van in June of 2018 at Commercial Customer in N.J.
