The owners of a 2008 Infiniti g37 contacted the Secretary of State Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen during a fraudulent purchase, identity theft. The Secretary of State Police verified the facts of the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later a vehicle equipped with  the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the stolen vehicle was tracked to a residential area on the 600 block of West South Street in Woodstock.

The stolen Infiniti was recovered by Woodstock police and returned to the rightful owner. Police investigation into this vehicle theft and recovery continues.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti g37 in Nov of 2007 at Gold Coast Infiniti in Chicago Illinois.
