The owner of this Nissan contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence. The Fresno Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Minutes after the LoJack was activated, an officer with the Fresno Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Hedge and Recreation avenues in southeast Fresno. The vehicle was located unoccupied and abandoned on the side of the road in a residential neighborhood. The vehicle was recovered intact and undamaged; it was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan in August of 2006 by Metro Honda in Montclair, California.
