The owners of a 2013 Ford Focus contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their residence in the 2200 block of North Buffalo after their residence was burglarized.  They discovered that their residence was ransacked and their car was missing so they notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later troopers from Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a restaurant in the 7700 block of West Lake Mead where they found the Ford unoccupied and unharmed.  The Ford was then recovered and towed for evidence processing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Focus in October of 2012 at Friendly Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
