The owner of a 2005 Honda Odyssey parked it where he usually parks it in front of his house, when he got up the next morning he found it missing. He immediately contacted the Suffolk county Police Department. The details are as follows.

He parked his vehicle where he normally parks it by his house, when he came out for it the next day he found it missing; this was in the Huntington section of Suffolk County. He immediately called the Suffolk County Police. When the Police arrived they took a written report, this information was then entered into the Suffolk County Police Computer for stolen vehicles, and it also enters the NCIC computer which is the computer for the U.S. Once this was done the LoJack transponder that is hidden on the vehicle was activated without any special calls or notification, this was done both seamlessly and silently.

Within a short while the signal was picked up by officers of the Suffolk County Police, town of Brentwood.. They tracked it through various sections of Brentwood where they located the vehicle parked on a residential street. The vehicle was unoccupied, so they decided to stake it out. After several hours when no one came for the vehicle they took it into custody.

The vehicle was recovered with no damage, the owner was notified, and he was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage.

The LoJack unit was installed at Bay Ridge Honda-Volvo of Brooklyn on May 5,2005.

The value of the vehicle was approximately $7500.00
