The owner of this Honda contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex. The Fresno Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Several hours after the LoJack was activated, a Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Deputy tracked the vehicle to a residential area near Marks and Clinton avenues in northwest Fresno. The unoccupied vehicle was found parked and abandoned at the curb in a residential area. The vehicle was recovered intact and sustained only ignition damage; it was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda in October 2014 by Marin Honda in San Rafael, California.
