The owners of a 2017 Nissan Altima contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from in front of their home in the 1200 block Sherwood Road in Baltimore City, Maryland. Baltimore City Police Radio dispatched an officer from the 4th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the subject vehicle. When the officer was unable to locate the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Nissan Altima.

Within a short period of time, officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan Altima with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 6000 block Olsen Road in the Brooklyn area of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. The undamaged vehicle was then recovered by the officers and the owner notified.
Approximate value of vehicle: $16,525.00

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Nissan Altima in April, 2017 at Nationwide Nissan in Timonium, Maryland.
