The owner of the Honda Civic parked it on the street in front his house, when he came out for it the next day he found it missing. This was in the Brownsville section of the Brooklyn, confines of the 73 precinct.  He immediately called the Police of the 73 precinct, when the police responded they took a written report, this information was then entered into the NYPD computer for stolen cars, and it also enters the NCIC computer, which is the computer for the United States. Once this occurs it automatically activates the LoJack unit in the stolen Honda CR V both seamlessly, silently and effortlessly.

A short while later the silent signal was picked up by the Police Officers of the Brooklyn South Boro Anti-Crime Unit on the LoJack tracking computer in their vehicle. This was in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn confines of the 67precinct; they tracked it to a commercial area, there they found the vehicle parked on the street. As they approached the vehicle they noticed a male who was sitting in the vehicle and apparently was occupied with other matters. They silently snuck up on the suspect and using the element of surprise were able to apprehend by the suspect before he was able to drive off with the running vehicle. The driver was apprehended without incident and immediately placed under arrest. The vehicle was recovered with no damage.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he bought the vehicle he was very happy that the LoJack recovery system was in his vehicle. He went on to say that if it weren’t for LoJack his vehicle may never have been recovered .especially in good condition.

The approximate value of the vehicle was $6,500.00

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Honda Civic at Paragon Honda, Woodside Queens NY on Nov. 12, 2005.
