The owners of a 2006 Nissan Armada contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of their residence.  The owner believes that they may have left the spare key inside the vehicle.

The Phoenix Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Twenty four minutes later, officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a neighborhood near 14th Street and Gwen Street, approximately three miles from where it was reported stolen from.

The Phoenix Police Department officers located the stolen Nissan unoccupied and parked on a side street.  No suspects were observed in the area so the vehicle was recovered and processed for evidence.  The vehicle was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Armada in March 2006, at ABC Nissan, Phoenix, Arizona.
