The owner of a 2013 Nissan Sentra SUV walked outside of her home to find that her vehicle was missing.  The owner contacted the Miramar Police to report that the 2013 Nissan was stolen.  The responding Officer prepared a stolen vehicle report, theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime information computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System transponder concealed in the vehicle.  Police patrol vehicles, helicopters, and fixed wing aircraft equipped with Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) began to search for stolen vehicle.

When the silent LoJack® registered an activation alert in Northeast Miami Dade County, Officers with LoJack® tracking computers responded and located the vehicle eight minutes after activation.  A surveillance was established with plainclothes units.  Eventually when the vehicle did not become occupied the Law Enforcement Officers recovered it.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Nissan Sentra at Royal Palm Nissan in West Palm Beach, Florida.
