The owners of a 2014 Ford Focus contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen the 2200 block of LaSombra.  The owners had gotten out of the Ford and went into an apartment leaving the Focus running and unsecured in the parking lot.  When the owners return the Ford was missing so they notified police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residential address in the 7000 block of Mendon.  The Ford was found unoccupied and unharmed.  The Ford was then recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Focus in March of 2014 at Team Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
