The owner of a 2008 Mercedes C350 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from the valet of a casino in the 2800 block of Las Vegas Blvd.  The owner was a valet attendant who rents his own vehicle out from the valet while working.  The owner had the Mercedes staged in the valet area with the keys in it and somebody got inside and left without permission so the owner notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later officers from Tucson Police Department in Arizona picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to and address in Tucson Arizona where it found to be occupied.  The Mercedes was safely stopped and the driver was arrested.  The Lexus was recovered and returned back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes C350 in December of 2007 and was a Nevada Direct Customer.
