The owners of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from inside the gated driveway of their home in the 6300 block of Concho.  The owners had loaded some exercise equipment in the back of the Chevrolet to be delivered the next day.  The locked up the truck and the gate across the driveway and went into the house for the night.  The next morning they found the gate pried off the hinges and the Chevrolet missing so the notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a bank in the 3500 block of Jones.  The Chevrolet had been abandoned and the property in the back of it had been stolen.  The Chevrolet was recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado in May of 2005 at Rally Auto Group, Palmdale, California.
