The owners of a 2007 Mercedes R350 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from in front of their house in the 2700 block of Morning Break.  The Mercedes had been left parked in the driveway and inadvertently left unsecured during the night.  There was also a spare key in the center console of the vehicle which was always left there.  When the owners went to use the Mercedes the next morning it was found to be missing.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

22 minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Bonita and Crestwood where they located the Mercedes unoccupied.  The Mercedes was then recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes R350 in October of 2006 at House of Imports, Buena Park, California.
