The owner of a 2018 Ford Transit Van called the Milltown Police Department to report that one of their rental vans had been stolen.

The Milltown Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Ford Transit Van.

A short while later, pilots from the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that is installed in the helicopter.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Aviation Unit tracked the vehicle to a parking lot on Lexington Ave in the City of New Brunswick. The Aviation Unit radioed the location of the stolen Ford to ground units from the New Brunswick Police Department. The vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Ford Transit Van in June of 2018 at the Auto Truck Group, N.J.
