The owners of a2018 Ram R1500 contacted the Huntington Park Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Ram R1500.

A short while later flight deputies from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Aero Bureau (Air-21)  picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2018 Ram 1500 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to 132 2nd city of Compton and alerted deputies from Los Angeles Sheriff’s Century Station.  The deputies were directed to the vehicle taking the suspect driver into custody without further incident.

The deputies notified Huntington Park and advised them that their named suspect was in custody.  Officers from Huntington Park PD responded and assumed the investigation.  The suspect was later booked for the theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ram R1500 at Champion Dodge in November 2017.
