The owners of a 2016 Mercedes Benz 300 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen in the city of San Diego.

San Diego Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later, officers from San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 4400 block of Winona Avenue in the city of La Mesa.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes Benz in January 2016 at Mercedes Benz Of El Cajon, El Cajon, California.
