The owner of a 2015 Jeep Compass contacted the Oakley Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The owner advised the vehicle had been taken in the overnight hours from in front of their residence in the 1200 block of Quail Valley Run.

The Oakley Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2015 Jeep Compass.
A short time later, an officer from the Pittsburg Police Department was alerted to the stolen Jeep Compass by means of the silent LoJack signal from the stolen vehicle with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the stolen vehicle and it was found parked, unoccupied at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of East Leland Road.

The stolen Jeep Compass was recovered by the Pittsburg Police Department and the vehicle was towed/stored for safe keeping, to be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Jeep Compass in January of 2016, at Winter Chevrolet, in Pittsburg, CA.
