The owners of a 2011 Lincoln MKX contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex in the 1300 block of Doucette.  The owners had locked the Lincoln prior to leaving it parked but accidently left the keys in the lock of their apartment and forgot about them.  The next day they could not find the keys and remembered they were still in the door.  When they checked they found the keys and the Lincoln missing.  The owners then notified the police.

22 minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lincoln with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Karen where they located the Lincoln unoccupied.  The Lincoln was then recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lincoln MKX in December of 2011 at Team Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
